We expect the life of those who are helped today will be transformed from one of hopelessness and helplessness to one where they can contribute with confidence to the country, community, society.
We expect those who provide financial support to those being helped today will have a sense of great personal achievement and satisfaction when they see the transformed lives over a period of time.
We expect those who are being helped today will return tomorrow to teach, train, instruct, mentor others who are in the same situation as they are in today.
Today they are classified as People At Risk. They are at risk of leading a life of hopelessness, uselessness, crime, addictions, sexually transmitted diseases, etc., caused by a lack of education or vocational training for acquiring livelihood skills due to various circumstances like poverty, dysfunctional families, etc.
Others are classified as Disadvantaged People. They are disadvantaged educationally, economically, socially and culturally through deficiencies in their personal upbringing and training causing them to lose their competitiveness in life.
Many of these 2 categories of people are children or teenagers. They are looked down by their communities. They have no status in society. They are down and out.
Yet many of these people can potentially be leaders of society if given a second chance at education or vocational training. They need help now. Go and Educate! Empower them to become leaders of tomorrow.
