High-school students in Iloilo show colleagues what they learnt from Goducate leadership training

25 Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers of Buga National High School (BNHS) in Leon, Iloilo, attended a leadership training session at the Goducate Training Center on Sept 10, 2016.

On Sept 28, they facilitated at their school’s Drug Awareness and Wise Use of Technology Campaign, held for over 550 students from all grade levels.

How well the campaign was run has led the SSG officers and their adviser to look forward to having monthly leadership training to maximize the skills of the students in equipping others.

11 Goducate workers from the Philippines and 3 from Indonesia attended an intensive 5-day training course (April 25-30) in leadership at the Goducate headquarters in Singapore. They were joined by 7 Singaporean Goducate volunteers.

On April 17, 2017, 30 youths from the Goducate music program in Laguna, Philippines, not only received a set of school supplies but also watched a dance by the Jollibee mascot. Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast-food restaurants. For some of the youths, this meeting with the full-sized mascot was very memorable because it was their first encounter with it.

Goducate’s goal is to Go & Educate so that we can help Asians help themselves.

One of the best ways of helping communities is by training their leaders.

To do this, Goducate started a forum called Asia Forum for Leaders” (AFL). The program is for training leaders from different spheres of influence —political, community, police, educational, religious, etc.
