We were first introduced to the GoFeed program during the Mission Talk at Gospel Light’s church camp in 2023.

During the session, Pastor Paul Choo shared how GoFeed provides nutritious meals to undernourished children in underserved areas of the Philippines. These children receive three meals a week, but the program’s impact extends far beyond physical nourishment. At the feeding centers, they engage in enriching educational activities through videos produced by the Goducate Academy. They also learn about the Gospel and biblical principles through songs, stories, and videos created by GoKidz Asia, guided by dedicated facilitators.

One of the most inspiring aspects of GoFeed is its community-driven approach. Within each barangay (village), a “lady of peace” is appointed to lead and rally the mothers, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

The long-term vision is truly remarkable—to transform these feeding centers into thriving community churches. With approximately 42,000 barangays in the Philippines, Pastor Paul has an ambitious yet inspiring dream: to see a community church, modeled after the house churches in the Book of Acts, established in every single one.

Stirred by GoFeed’s mission, we felt a deep desire to support this initiative, even in a small way. After speaking with Pastor Paul, he encouraged us to visit the feeding centers in person to better understand how we could contribute. With that in mind, we set off for Iloilo, Philippines, from January 14 to 17, accompanied by our daughter and son-in-law.

The Goducate staff, Barbie and Melissa, graciously arranged visits to four GoFeed centers in the barangays of Hinactacan, Sto. Angel, San Agustin, and Camandag. What an unforgettable experience it was!

We witnessed firsthand how the feeding sessions were conducted and how the children eagerly participated in the educational programs. The warmth and hospitality of the mothers and their children touched our hearts deeply—it was truly a joy to interact with them.

We even had the opportunity to taste the meals provided, which, though simple, were wholesome and nourishing.

Now, as a family and as part of our Care Group, we are prayerfully seeking how we can come alongside GoFeed to support a center and play a role in this meaningful mission.

If you’re interested in learning more, we would love to share our experience—please feel free to reach out to us!
